I think I figured it out. The garage and workshop are obvious, but the bath house confused me. Then I remembered reading someone's account of an event held there. They referenced using restrooms and showers in the rear yard behind the main house. That has to be what they are referring to as the bath house.Sam wrote:Hi Pahonu,

I noticed that a while back on the property tax slides. I asked if anyone on the forum knew and drew a blank. It seems to have been built at the same time as the other structures. Maybe it was where the tennis courts are now because they are much newer. Assuming zoning laws would permit, I would turn the boathouse into the actual guesthouse. It would have to be torn down and rebuilt... But how awesome would that be?ConchRepublican wrote:Wow! The boathouse in intriguing. I can see the use for a storage area AND the need for guest quarters. I figure I could always repurpose part of the garage for grounds equipment. Assuming the gatehouse could be used for guests. As well as the main house, I would be quite tempted to turn the boathouse into an entertainment area. I did build a tiki bar in Queens, NY after all! I think that area, apart from the main house could work well, although there is the neighbor consideration aspect since it's close to the property line.
I'd expect the tennis courts would come out, I don't play and have no desire to learn, but am not sure what would replace them. Perhaps an archery range of some sort. Maybe an in ground pool. The tidal pool is nice, but the privacy of your own pool and hot tub would be needed.

Same here. Even if I would bagged them all there's no way. I'm still upset with my grandmother throwing out all my dad's old comics. Although even if Amazing Fantasy #15 were in there, it wouldn't get us close . . . Lath, I was wondering what exactly that meant. For some reason it didn't connect in my head. It probably wasn't a glass green house given the climate. It says lath, as in wood strips, which makes much more sense. A lath house screens seedlings from intense sun. A glass green house keeps them warm in a cold climate. A lath house is also much less of an investment so might easily have been torn down or simply rotted away.
