Yeah you're right there - of the main four Rick's character was the least developed.

Watching this one right now.

One thing that struck me as odd on this watch was Thomas asking Higgins for time off. Since when does TM have to have leave approved by Higgins?

He's not that kind of "employee". Higgins taking the Ferrari as he so often does, always made sense, it's estate property. But, Thomas having to essentially submit a request for time off form? It seems kind of weird.

I agree. There were bits and pieces (like how quickly he fell in love) but he often seemed like a bit of a cipher. Still, Manetti did a good job with what he was given.
