If I can get at least a top 10 from you going forward that would be great.Or at the very least a top 5!

I'll do what needs to be done but in addition to the top 10 (or top 5) per season I expect you to give me your favorite episode for each season, once you reach the end of the series. That means you might need to go back to your notes to jog your memory of seasons 1, 2, 3, etc. This is mandatory!! Penalty for non-compliance will be severe!T.Q. wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 6:29 pmYou'll need to brainwash me and slip me some chewing gum.IvanTheTerrible wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 12:01 am

Nice list! Of course "Flash of Color" and "Flip Side is Death" have no business being on that list.Little Garwood wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 7:39 pm I hold season six in the highest regard and along with seasons 4 and 5, is my favorite Five-o era. S6 is only missing a Wo Fat episode to achieve all-time favorite season status.
Here’s my S6 top 10:
10) Secret Witness
09) The Flip Side is Death
08) One Big Happy Family
07) Mother's Deadly Helper
06) Murder is a Taxing Affair
05) Flash of Color, Flash of Death
04) Nightmare in Blue
03) Draw Me a Killer
02) Death with Father
01) Hookman
I’ll be sure to submit my subsequent top ten lists to you for approval…IvanTheTerrible wrote: Nice list! Of course "Flash of Color" and "Flip Side is Death" have no business being on that list. Not that they're bad episodes. They're very good and in a lesser season might have squeezed into the top 10, but season 6 is just so strong that there are other episodes that are ahead of those 2 that should be in the top 10.
This is a downright stellar episode! The best from season 7, eclipsing "The Young Assassins" for the #1 spot. It's easily the best psycho episode in the series and is probably #4 on my all-time Five-O list. Just to recap... #1 was "Rest in Peace, Somebody", #2 was "Hookman", and #3 was "V for Vashon: The Father". I guess I don't count the baddies in "Rest in Peace" and "Hookman" as psychos, at least not in the traditional sense. They're more revenge stories than psycho stories to me. Eddie Josephs, however, is the very definition of a psycho! They're the freaky ones who fixate on some kind of pattern and go on a killing spree until they're stopped. This episode was just intense from first scene to last. Danny Goldman is definitely no household name but his performance here has to be in the top 2 or 3 in the entire series!!! I really can only think of Gavin MacLeod's Big Chicken and Hume Cronyn's Lewis Avery Filer as the other 2 who stood out to me this much with their acting. Not even Wo Fat was as memorable as these guys and Eddie. Love the whole authority issue Eddie had with the "Mmmmmister MmmmmcGarrett" bit. That was cool! His look - the thick glasses, skinny figure, nebbish bookworm personality, the nasal voice - just classic!T.Q. wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 8:58 pm I'll Kill 'Em Again
A fine episode.
Didn't recognize actor Danny Goldman from anything but he did really well playing creepy Psycho copycat killer "Eddie".
Felt bad for the shopkeeper (guess for all the victims Haha).
Great ending too.
Can't let McGarrett win.![]()
Ivan, I missed how they found where he was strangling the 'Streetwalker' at the end. Just kinda happened and I didn't "rewind".
Nicely put, Garwood! Meets with my approval.Little Garwood wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 6:13 pm Re: I’ll Kill ‘Em Again
Hadn’t watched this one since the DVD release in, what, 2009? The steady Five-0 releases led to my being temporarily burned out on the show (season 8 would snap me out of that funk), but my enjoyment for S7 has been at the highest level since.
“I’ll Kill ‘Em Again” should have led off the seventh season.
Five-0 was the best at “sick and twisted” stories, even the occasional misfire had interesting elements. “I’ll Kill ‘Em Again” is among the series’ finest hours. Great performance by Danny Goldman who plays an intelligent social misfit (understatement) so well. An effective score from Harry Geller, who is another of the era’s grossly underrated composers.
Che Fong really earns his pay this time, as he comes up with important clues.
Chin gets a good quote:
“He picks out victims like you pick out meat at the supermarket.”
That was Linda Ryan, who played a shrink more than once as I recall. That's another MPI connection that T.Q. missed.Little Garwood wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 6:45 pm “I’ll Kill ‘Em Again” features yet another female psychiatrist. I’ve always wondered if this was the writers’ way of dismissing that field, or that the writers just associated females with psychiatrists because women are supposed to be “more in touch with their feelings.”

Yep, this is true. That must have been the writer's (Bill Stratton) inspiration. So I would disagree with Mr. Mike's assessment that Five-O writers had difficulty writing these revolutionary groups because they're full of BS. You look at most "revolutionaries" or cults or extreme fringe kooks and they're all full of BS. They're not supposed to be rational.Little Garwood wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 4:55 pm The Young Assassins
From Mr. Mike’s Five-0 website:
The PAG are typical of the "revolutionaries" that the Five-O writers had difficulty creating. These "terrorists" are full of B.S., uttering banalities like "You are we. We are power. The power to be."

~Symbionese Liberation Army
As hilarious as the People’s Attack Group is, I think that they’re not much different than the real-life Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA), the terrorist group credited with kidnapping heiress Patty Hearst. The PAG and the SLA’s taped rants are largely interchangeable. The SLA would have been on the minds of pretty much anyone watching The Young Assassins, which aired four months after the May 1974 Compton shootout that left six members of the People’s Attack Group…I mean SLA..dead.
The episode also has some spectacular scenery and some vibrant color photography that make The Young Assassins worth watching.
