UGH. He wore the black orchid shirt now?ConchRepublican wrote:He buttons the top button?

Knocking my rubber chicken or my sloppy habits is within the rules, but you're attacking my character. I would like to think you don't mean that.

Sometimes he does , sometimes not depending on the fit of the shirt I would guess .ConchRepublican wrote:He buttons the top button?
T.Q. I do not believe this is the same version of the shirt that was out in the 80’s it is a different pattern. At first glance it might look like it but the new version is not as busy

I too have always believed you never buttoned the top button, or tucked the shirt in. So I tried looking up the rules for "Aloha shirts"(I just learned that's what the locals
call them, supposedly). But it seems like no one can agree on anything, except the buttons must he wooden or shell. Shell I never heard of before but there you go.
Most sites say tucking in the shirt is a no-no, though a site from England claimed it's fine, but other than being fellow islanders what does a Brit know about Hawaiian haberdashery. They probably wear derbys and ascot ties with their Hawaiian shirts in London.
Whatever the rules, only a scrungo would button up all the way to the neck.
On reflection, a derby would go great with an Hawaiian shirt, very stylish.
Re: Happy Birthday Jay
It is perfectly ok to button the top button . The shirt should be wore lose enough that you can fit two fingers in The main goal is comfort so you don’t want it skin tight . Jay is wareing it correctly . As for wearing it tucked in I would say no to that in most cases but there are times that I would say it is ok . One example that comes to mind is when the shirt is worn with a suit.

Recently on the anti-reboot outrage wave caravan:
How can someone in his right mind wear an Aloha Shirt with the top button closed!!!!
Get the pitchforks out!
What an utter disgrace!
The man has no shame!
What an insult to everybody who loves the show!
Lenkow has no idea what he's doing and even then he does it wrong!
When will CBS end all this?
