Started the season one DVD today . Need something to watch while the show is on hiatus .
Episode 1
“ I saw the sun rise “ The episode was better then I remembered having been one of my least favorites to date . I am not sure if that was because there was no commercials or if it was because I know where the show is going and can enjoy the characters more .
Included with episode one is A making of the episode called “Aloha Magnum “ They just included one extended scene where the 308 is destroyed and Magnum jumps on a truck before jumping to the Helicopter. It was a good call leaving that scene out of the show jumping out of the 308 on to the helicopter was to big of a scratch to begin with .

Episode 2
“ From The Head Down “
They just included one Deletefd scene with this episode. T.C. And Magnum are riding in T.C.’s van with the recovered Tuna in the back . There are a lot of tree shaped air fresheners hanging and the guy’s are complaining about the smell of the fish .

Episode 3
“The Women Who Never Died “
A lot of good things to pick up on in the episode .
They introduced Magnum’s fried Manu in this episode we see him again in a later episode when Magnum is on dinner date on the beach .
Kumu puts a book on the book shelf of Higgins office titled Pahonu
In the jewelry store there is a Rolex wall clock that is a large version of the one Magnum wares on his wrist . You can buy your own here https://www.wallclockdealer.com/rolex-w ... black-dial
The was just one cut scene of this episode. It evolves Magnum and Manu sitting in the waiting room waiting for the doctor to look at removing Manu’s tattoos. Manu ask to see TM sunglasses and ask how he looks in them . TM tells him he looks great then the nurse comes to get Manu and he asks if TM can come in with him . TM tells the nurse that Manu is nervous .

Episode 4
“ Six Paintings,One Frame “
My favorite opening for a episode of Magnum PI ever . The opening reminds me of the opening scene from Val Kilmer’s movie “the Saint “and also of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s opening scene from “ True Lies “ . The writers did a good job here and added a ending to the scene that was fun but not over the top.
Sadly there were no extra scenes provided for this episode
That is the end of disk one .As a extra they do include 4 promos for the show nice to see but nothing really special here .
