Re: Patrice Martinez has passed away!
I am approaching 68 and see so many obituaries of people I have known including many that are years younger than me. Yes, it is depressing but accepting mortality is a must for all of us. My doctor tells me that 75-80% of the reason you suffer illnesses or die is because of heredity where there is little to nothing you can do about it even when you know your conditions. You may be able to extend your life for a short time but for some that still means life ends way too early.Nifty911 wrote:I know when its your time, its your time, but does this bother anyone here even a little bit?
I have read an article that says her death was unexpected and and one that said she suffered from a long illness. I watched my parents suffer from illnesses and have also known close friends to die immediately in a car wreck or literally drop dead from a brain aneurysm. There is pain suffered in both situations whether it be by the deceased or survivors. It cannot be avoided.
I just hope we can all rest in peace at some point.

I do not want to have a discussion about illnesses, but your doctor is wrong. Most diseases are not hereditary. They come from the crap we eat and are exposed to every day. My mummy died from pancreatic cancer. She loved her sugar. Daddy died from emphysema from smoking. His 4 aunts died, basically, from Alzheimers/dementia. They were all drinkers. The thing that all of those have in common is sugar. Sugar feeds fungus. Fungal infections mimic cancer. Fungus causes the same kind of cell mutations as cancer. When someone is diagnosed with cancer, most doctors just prescribe chemo and/or radiation. Why? There's money to be made from drugs. I've seen it. Instead of testing for fungus, they just go ahead and say it's cancer. Smoking all of a sudden causes cancer. It does now cause of all of the poisons added to the tobacco (i.e. carpet glue, tar). Tobacco has been smoked for thousands of years. The Native Americans introduced tobacco to the white man. They had no problems with smoking. All of a sudden it's dangerous? Excessive amounts of nicotine screws up blood sugar levels. That's why, when people try to quit smoking, what do they do? Eat candy, drink soda, drink alcohol, anything with sugar to try to maintain that sugar level that they had with nicotine. Sugar is an addiction. It's harder to ween yourself off sugar than it is cocaine.
Aflatoxins, which are a by product of fungi (i.e. aspergillus, candida), run rampant through our food supply. And there is now a new fungal infection going around Candida auris. It's a drug resistant fungus. Watch out. This will probably turn out to be a real killer.
I did not want to go on about this. I tend to ramble and write disjointedly cause my mind works faster than I can write and then I lose track (must be the sugar). There are plenty of articles concerning fungus and cancer.
It's not hereditary. It's lifestyle choices.
Thank you. I'm here every night.

Sugar is a killer, the huge spike in diabetes is proof of that. One can of soda a day amounts to 50 pounds of sugar a year. A fellow employee invited me over for a home cooked dinner. A half hour before dinner her 12 year old son sat down, filled a cereal bowl with sugar cubes, pored honey on and inhaled them in less than 2 minutes,Chris109 wrote:I do not want to have a discussion about illnesses, but your doctor is wrong. I kid you not. Mom oblivious as I helped her set the table. My teeth hurt just looking at this kid who was Every Dentist's Dream Patient.
Pour out all your soda, drink tea, and you can avoid paying for your dentist's vacation to Rome this year if you have two or three cola swilling kids at home.

Higgins: You're simply to be his "legman" as he describes it.
Luther Gillis: Yeah, yeah. The day I'm Tom Magnum's "legman" is the day I sit on the street corner selling pencils and drinking cheap pink out of a paper bag.

Re: Patrice Martinez has passed away!
Sorry to hear of Patrice Martinez's passing. Her beauty and grace, made her one of my two favorite of Magnum's ladies.
The topics of both cancer and advanced fungal infections, are both horrific. I lost my father earlier this year from cancer. He suffered from non small cell lymphoma, caused by a genetic condition known as hemochromatosis. This cancer, like all, is insidious to it's victims. Dad was 230 pounds when the cancer began, and by the time of his death, I could have lifted him off the sheets, after my fifth back surgery. Thankfully, the LORD, took him ending his misery.
A very close friend, who was a brother by choice, died from a fungal infection (Valley Fever), after his doctor's failed to properly diagnose him. He finally saw a fungal infection specialist, who had determined that the fungus had pass through the brain barrier. He too was 230 pounds when he contracted the infection, and was less than 120 when he passed. Another truly horrific death. Thankfully, he too was spared from this earthly existence, by his passing.
Sorry to all, for being such a downer on this subject.
