My shirt arrived today ! Was a day later then to USPS said it would be . Arrived in a white priority mail envolope that I am sure you all have seen before . Inside the envelope the shirt was in a clear plastic bag . The first thing I noticed after removing the shirt from the bag was how much thinner the silk was then my Tommy Bahama shirts. Putting the shirt on I found it to be a little large but not so large as to send it back . I ordered up a size I find that sometimes shirts like this run small but I think that the Avanti shirts are going to run closer to size then some other brands . So if you are ordering I would just order the size you normally ware . Looking at myself in the mirror I could not even see the pocket on the shirt it was a perfect match . The plams matched up pretty good at the buttons . The red was a nice color not as bright as I thought it would be .

Most of Avanti's shirts are made of 100% Crepe de Chine silk. The silk used on the shirts are made of reeled (filament) silk, which is of the highest quality of all silk. The most commonly-used silk is spun silk, basically the waste from reeling process or cocoons that were not reelable.

Many associate heavy weight or feel with quality, when in most cases, it is quite the opposite. Momme weight describes the weight of 100 yards of silk, 45 inches wide, in pounds. If a fabric is listed with a momme weight of 8mm, it means that 100 yards of the fabric weighs 8 pounds. Our silk is 16mm (momme), which is pretty much the highest momme weight that is used on clothing before it gets heavy enough for bedding. Don't let the "thinness" fool you!

The promo video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUzWemcYmgg) for episode 15, "Day the Past Came Back" just came out and, wow...I probably spent several hours total over the last two days trying to find this shirt, when I accidentally stumbled upon the maker's website when an unrelated shirt caught my eye in Google Images.

FYI, I have watched many episodes and I keep asking myself if they will get any better.

I'm glad to see that there are other clothing enthusiasts here that are on the ball! I was preparing a rundown on all these shirts a while back, but then I procrastinated and, well, forgot :-\

And because one of my hobbies is identifying clothing from TV shows and movies, I'm working on a list of all the other clothing and accessories Magnum wears in the new series. Maybe I should make a separate thread for that later.

I received my blue Habiscus shirt by Pacific legend . I ordered from a company called Aloha outlet .it arrived a day earlier than they said it would arrive . Sizing I think might run Just a little small but not much . I dont think I will know for sure until the shirt is washed . This shirt has a nice look to it but it is not silk “ the price reflects that “and the cotton is a little stiff and needs to be worn to be broken in . I am happy with the way Aloha outlet handled the order first they do not charge for shipping .Second if you need to exchange they will pay for shipping for the return. They also inclose a post card that says Mahalo with the order to let you know they appreciate your business .
