I watched 5/6 episodes but honestly can’t even remember the stories (other than the Fish) or tell you what they were about.

You didn’t miss anything.

Cookie cutter CBS/Lenkov fare. It's actually filmed in the exact same style as H50*. You wouldn't even know it's not H50 if you didn't see the new characters.

* I read that Lenkov was "a fan" of Magnum, P.I. yet did not actually bother re-watching the series before starting Mini-Mag because he didn't want to be influenced.

I assume it would be 7/6 of an episode if you watching one episode and the opening credits of a second.
