I saw Selleck do an Entertainment Tonight interview in 1989. He said the number of shows was agreed upon by the show and the network. The network was pulling away from the show and so was Bellasario. Selleck was also ready to do big screen movies.
Selleck also said that Higgins was Robin Masters during this interview. I don't really buy it because of the huge discrepancies with the early to mid episodes. It is fun to think, however, that Higgins was the real McCoy the entire time. What a clever way to keep the press and site-seers away.
Selleck also talked about his movie plans.
