From a Newb..

To the Magnum Mania Forum members

(Internal Dialog)javascript:emoticon('')
Idea

"I like to think Im a pretty normal 27 yr old guy".

Married
Own a house
have a dog and a cat.
train in brazilian jiu jitsu
enjoy firing guns
play guitar.
am a Master Mason.

But........

There is one small separation between myself and the majority of the population (at least in my age group) and that is MY infatuation with Magnum PI. I watched it as a very young kid in the 80's. Hell..I was known for my Magnum eye brow wiggle at the tender age of 4. This year for Halloween I will let you guess my costume (hint: I had on a fake mustache).

I have all released seasons on DVD. I am pretty bored to death with modern television with its perpetual reality shows and lame-ass hour long season running miniseries (otherwise known as usual shows). So that has allowed Magnum DVD episodes to occupy my last fleeting moments before my head hits the pillow each night.

In the process I have collected:
(1) Jungle Bird Print Hawaiian shirt.
(1) Star Orchid Hawaiian shirt.
(1) Magnum PI phone ring (for my blackberry)
(1) Magnum PI logo T-Shirt
(1) Magnum PI sunset shirt (see front page of Magnum Mania site)
(1 copy each) Released seasons of DVD Magnum episodes..

Thats about it...But anyway..just wanted to say hello..and Godspeed.

Welcome OUTHOUSE. You're among friends here.
The answer is obvious, old man. Logic is irrelevant. It's simply Tropical Madness. (J.Q. Higgins)

Welcome to the boards OUTHOUSE! It looks as though you will fit right in with us Magnum-Maniacs! Most of what you said in your post could be said about me and I'm an OLD lady! That just shows the mass appeal of Magnum and that's a good thing, although my husband might argue that point. (He doesn't share my enthusiasm, but loves me in spite of it, and assists me with my obsession whenever he can :D ) This is the best Magnum themed site I've found to date and James does a magnificent job!

I told him that was ridiculous."

Welcome, OUTHOUSE!

Now if you are a TRUE MPI fan, you will also buy Microsoft Flight Simulator: A Century of Flight, download TC's helicopter Add-On from www.hovercontrol.com, buy a Saitek joystick and CH pedals, and learn to virtually fly TC's helicopter around Hawaii.

THEN with all the information RubberChicken has provided, plus getting Google Earth to add to MSFS: ACOF, you can virtually fly over all the locations shown in eight years on the show. Then you can buy EZ Scenery and build your own Robin's Nest scenery, not to mention building TC's Makai pier Island Hoppers location . . . . .

Huh-oh, better shut up -- giving away too much of my own obsession . . . .

Or create rap songs about a certain Englishman and attempt to convince one of your co-workers who used to freestyle rap, and your boss who moonlights as a DJ on the side to set up a beat.

Welcome aboard!
