I have taken possession of Pahonu!

Hi Guys,
This is my first post in a long time. I could not log on under my old name (if I was remembering it right) so I created a new one. As it turned out it was probably best. My new username is "My Pahonu" and as my first post implies I have taken possession of Pahonu...in my mind that is. I had dreams of one day making it big and buying the estate. When I heard it was for sale my hopes lifted. I was nowhere close to having the funds but it was like holding a lottery ticket and thinking what could be. Then last week I came to MM and realized the worst. Not only would I never live there but I would never even see it. It had been demolished. I was devastated for a couple days, that is, until I realized I could take possession in my mind. I began to think of the parallels between Pahonu and where I live. They both have a house. They both are on 5 acres. Magnum has a surf ski and I have a canoe. They are both on the water, although mine is 3 hours from the ocean by boat. We both have a sports car, although mine is a 78 camaro in need of restoration. We both have a dog that chases us. The biggest one that really struck me was they were both torn down the same week. When Irma came through it put 6 ft of water in my house and the county said I have to elevate. I rented the equipment and began the demo only to find out my alternate home was being torn down at the same time.
I have decided to rise from the ashes and have my own Pahonu! Though I can never live in the true Pahonu and I will never be able to visit anything but the tidal pool. I will always have my own Pahonu in my mind and enjoy the similarities. I invite you all to come to Pahonu in your own minds because the door is always open and all our friends are there. Even Magnum 2.0 can't take that away from us.

Does anyone know if the producers are going to replicate Pahonu with new sets, seeing as how the estate was almost a character on Classic Magnum?
It can be done.
The Bonanza producers decided the series needed some juice and a new look after Pernell Roberts left, so they decided more location filming was the way to go. They built a actual ranch house in Incline Village, Nevada that was a replica of the Ponderosa set back in Burbank, inside and out.
On the other hand if the new Magnum is picked up for a full season I could see them going the cheap route and building a new Pahonu on the Universal back lot in LA, throw in a couple of plastic palm trees and Bobs Your Uncle.

My guess is that Lenkov won't replicate it very closely because he'll be trying to appeal to the younger viewers... more modern looking with high tech stuff throughout.

I had a biotech stock go from $0.90 to $100. Sold a bunch at $25 and was out $65.

Only had 4,000 shares.

Currently have had some small biotechs (200,000 shares each) bought 4-5 years ago that I dreamed of replicating that result.

Man... Those were the same thoughts I had (I'm sure we're not the only ones). I joined just so I could type out some thoughts. I don't blame them for the demo, the place was in disrepair. It doesn't make it any easier though. Such an iconic house. It's a shame to see her go. One can only hope they replace it was something worthy of the estate grounds.
