Well, it sounds like they might be considering the crossover, same universe thing....I'm not too thrilled with that after the helicopter scene on HFO where they all talk about the MPI tv show and then start singing the theme song, but what can you do. Yes, the storylines are there and of course more revenue, so they will milk it the best they can. It's just a shame Lenkov didn't just hint there was a real Thomas Magnum on HFO instead of stating it was a tv show.

It's all about the $$$$$.KENJI wrote: Yes, the storylines are there and of course more revenue, so they will milk it the best they can.
What I've been wondering is what the H50 cast is thinking about all the MPI reboot hype. This is Lenkov's new baby, he's promoting it big time on social media and in the press etc. If H50 comes back for another season, great, more money for Lenkov. But if not, oh well.
And what do you know? All of a sudden O'Loughlin says he "may" be willing to return for another season. Who's he kidding.

Re: MPI/HFO Crossovers?
Yeah. I'm excited. I'm huge fan of Hawaii Five-0, this is my favourite show. And crossovers are one main of reason why I will watch this show. BTW, crossover is certain. Even in pilot we see crossover, tiny crossover, but yeah. In pilot will appear Kimee Balmilero as Noelani Cunha (it has not been officially confirmed yet, but it's a matter of time), she reprise her role from Hawaii Five-0, she still play there. I don't care about this scene from season 3. I'm excited, and I can't wait for two night crossover in future.
CBS for sure will renew H50 for season 9, because the show has the one of the best ratings on CBS, and the best ratings of all networks on Friday. Besides Alex he want return. BTW, Rembrandt's Girl, Alex already in May 2017 said the he willing to return for couple more seasons, because his health it has improved a lot. So this is not sudden, just confirmed what he said last year.Rembrandt's Girl wrote:What I've been wondering is what the H50 cast is thinking about all the MPI reboot hype. Interesting! I guess you have the inside scoop Core 4 since I think you are really Lenkov here in disguiseCore 4 wrote:Besides Alex he want return. The 41-year-old actor has previously said that he would turn in McGarrett's gun and badge once his contract ended with the end of season eight.
But in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, O'Loughlin is quoted as saying, "I'm more open to continuing on than I was when we spoke a couple years ago."

Re: MPI/HFO Crossovers?
He referred to the interview from November 2016. In May 2017 he changed his mind. Now just it confirmed. Here you have where I know it. Fragment of the interview in May 2017: Signed on to Hawaii Five-0 through eight seasons, he began talking about walking away while he felt still could. But recently he's felt his workload lighten, and those stem cell injections? They've been "magic", he says. Does this mean he might challenge Jack Lord's record 12 seasons as McGarrett? "That would be a miracle," O'Loughlin says with a laugh. "But I can see coming back and doing another season or two. I think this show is every thing. It's the core of it all".Rembrandt's Girl wrote:Interesting! Re: MPI/HFO Crossovers?
Thanks Core 4... so you're saying the Entertainment Weekly & Hawaii News Now articles from last week are "old news"?
Re: MPI/HFO Crossovers?
No. These are new news, but the fact that he was not going to come back referred to an interview from November 2016. But in May 2017 like I said he has already changed his mind. But it was interview for CBS Watch Magazine, so may why they did not refer to this in new news, but to interview in 2016 (also for EW).Rembrandt's Girl wrote:Thanks Core 4... so you're saying the Entertainment Weekly & Hawaii News Now articles from last week are "old news"?

Re: MPI/HFO Crossovers?
Gotcha. Apparently no news outlet read the magazine article pages that lady posted.
As I said at the beginning, it's all about the money. I'm sure they're in contract negotiations with him right now.
So, back to KENJI's original post, yep they've laid the groundwork either way for a possible crossover. I'm with you, I don't like the idea either.

Re: MPI/HFO Crossovers?
I doubt it's about the money, knowing how seriously he had health problems, that even Alex was thinking about finishing acting, when his contract will end. But there was a big improvement, so he changed his mind. Yes, they are in contract negotiations with him right now. But from what I heard, more is about the work schedule than money.
As for the crossovers, I am not objective because I am a fan of the H50. I can not wait for the crossovers, so much potential. I already have a few ideas.
