I've been meaning to put this up in the 'Audio' section of the site for a while now ... and now I finally have.
Umphrey's McGee , one of my favorite musical artists, has a song called "Higgins" (which, of course, is about our favorite major domo). Here is a 9-minute live version of the song from the Murat Centre in Indianapolis 2007:

Feel free to dissect the lyrics any way you want, but the guys in the band are big time
Magnum P.I. fans.
Higgins: It's not a scratch! It's a bloody gouge!

So, in listening to the song, I have come up with two conclusions.
1) Quite a cool jam, and being called "Higgins", it's even better!
2) This song really has nothing to do with our Higgins from what I can tell. And maybe thats the point.
I guess its like me writing a heavy metal song and calling it "Seaweed".
Oh well, I like it anyway, and its always good to be exposed to new music!

The lyrics are cryptic, for sure, but themes of J.Q. Higgins are in there:
When there's not any deal to bargain
Or an arguments table set
The lecture never comes
It's the epitomy of frustration
Cause it's a problem already met
And you learn to bite your tongue...
Higgins: It's not a scratch! It's a bloody gouge!

True.
A mention of the lads would have been nice.

I've decided to do a "Higgins Rap". Check back in a few days and lets see what I come up with!

No problem!
Might be more of a "poem"
