Episode with Magnum driving a Corvette?

That's what I thought he was talking about. I'd love to have that Jaguar TM was driving! I'm just a few inches shorter than him so I would probably look just as akward!

Back when I lived in Pennsylvania, a local Chrysler/Jeep dealer owned a 1980 Ferrari 308 GTS. I'm 6' 4", and he let me sit in it one day. My head stuck over the windshield about from the nose up. I hear TS is (or was) 6'5", and they had to take 4" of seat foam out of the Ferraris just so he could fit in them. Even with the modificaion, he always looked too big for the Ferrari. Most of my height is due to long legs, and I gotta say, the knees were up tight against the steering wheel. I couldn't imagine driving a 308 on a regular basis.

I know they did some serious modifications to get him to fit. I also think they, somehow, moved the drivers seat back.

Yes, The unbolted the drivers' seat, and re-mounted it back as far as it would go. Unfortunately that's only a few inches more leg room.

I know this thread is REALLY old, but I stumbled upon the Corvette scene (and a few more Mag/Jag scenes) and thought it was worth adding to the MM archives....

In "Blind Justice" there was a Corvette, and I believe it was red, but it was driven by a woman who humiliates TM at a stop sign while he's in his Jaguar.

That, and the one in "Legacy From A Friend" I believe are the only two episodes that a Corvette appears.

A Corvette appears in the pilot episode when TM attempts to get information from the ensign regarding his friend's death. The ensign drives away quickly, thinking he's lost Magnum, but of course TM easily catches up in the Ferrari. That's followed by a nice shot where the two cars are side by side heading toward the camera, then heading away from it.
