I have the first 7 seasons of MPI on CD. I noticed that the earlier seasons (double sided) seemed to be darker than the later single sided cds. It could be that I have an 32 inch Sony CRT TV. Has anyone else noticed this?
That said, I really enjoy MPI and plan to visit Hawaii sometime in the future.

I noticed that too. I bought the box set when it came out and there was real improvement going from the double sided dvd's to the single side. They may have re-released the double sided seasons as single discs.

I have the double sided set also, can't really address the "darker" issue, as I don't really have anything to compare to, though having bought the seasons individually rather than as a set, the later seasons are single sided discs, just never really noticed much difference.
I hope you get to the islands and when you do, you'll favor us with a report and lots of pictures!
