Higgins looked at the camera a few times. TC looked at it more than Higgins and even talked to it a few times, 2 times I think...?
Magnum looked at the camera and it was part of the show that seperated it from most others.
But did Rick ever look at the camera. I don't think he ever did and wanted to know if maybe more Magnum experts might recall if he did.

You do know that Magnum always looked at the camera along with speaking to the viewer in voice over. And on some occasions the other members of the cast looked at the camera on their own but I don't think Rick ever did.
Just wanted to see if anybody knew if he did infact take a look at the camera sometime.

Good question Gritty. I don't think he ever did. He certainly didn't in Seasons 1-5, at least I'm pretty sure he didn't. 
There are several episodes from Seasons 6-8 that I havn't seen in a long, long time. I'll keep an eye out for it as I re-watch Seasons 6-8 on DVD.

My theory is that Magnum is Alpha Male, Rick is Beta Male.
I'd classify Higgins and TC both as Alphas, so they can relate to us, the audience... In the Magnum world, only the Alpha Male can break the fourth wall.
That's my half arsed idea anyway...

I did a study awhile back, of the 4 main cast members.. Rick is the only one never to break the 4th Wall (in gazing directly at it)
