Hi everyone,
I just joined, but have been enjoying the wealth of info here for some time.
I need some help please. I lived on Oahu in the 80's and worked as an EMT for American Ambulance. I was an extra in two MPI shows and I can't remember, or find which episodes I was in. They would have been in late season 4 or season 5.
In one episode I was an ambulance EMT/Medic and my partner and I walked a local gentleman who had a head injury, out of a small store, helped him into the ambulance and away we went. We were of course in the background behind, I think, TC but I could be wrong. I remember the location being behind diamond head.
In the other episode I was dressed as a coroner in brown coveralls and we loaded a body into a Ford torino station wagon/ambulance that was converted with "coroner" signs on it. Again we were background action, this time I believe it was behind magnum.
My boss, John Elliott, who owned American Ambulance did a similar scene in ep.5.20
Does this ring a bell with anyone who has seen all the episodes? Also, is there a place online where I could watch the entire episodes free?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, mahalo.
I had family and friends in Honolulu radio back in the late 70's-80's, anyone from that era here?
Mike
Need help finding MPI episodes I was in.

Absolutely amazing Doc
You're amazing Doc, thank you for such a timely reply! Please excuse my delay in getting back to you.
Gotta kick myself. I was going to ask you guys about six months ago, but no, why seek the advice of experts when you can, you know, be an idiot and do it the mind-numbingly slow way.
As soon as I read the episode brief on Round & Around, it sure sounded familiar for the ambulance scene, and I think you picked the other one out too with Mrs. Jones.
Thank you very much for your time.
Since I'm on a roll now...I might as well ask, do you know where I can download those two episodes and see if I recognize myself twenty-plus years ago?
What is your connection to the show Doc?
Thanks again,
Mike

Greetings EmergencyLaughter!
Here's a screenshot of your appearance in "Round and Around"...

I didn't see anything in "Ms. Jones". They do go to see the coroner, but I don't see any EMT's anywhere.
You can't really download the episodes, but you can watch them on Netflix (or buy the DVD's).

Higgins: It's not a scratch! It's a bloody gouge!
EmergencyLaughter, our fearless leader is absolutely correct. The second episode is NOT Ms. Jones. Apologies James, I thought there was a scene there where Magnum was at the gun range and they were putting the double into an ambulance.
The episode in question (I believe) is the Let Me Hear The Music (S.5 / Ep. 16) at around the 27:58 mark. No loading into a wagon.. But there are brown coroners coveralls. Maybe that was your boss's scene. I'm still not satisfied that I truly found it.. But rest assured I will! I've narrowed it down to a few based upon your timeframe.
To answer your question, I really have no connection to the show aside from watching it as a kid, and rediscovering it in college while it was on A & E. I own a few pieces of memorabilia like the Jungle Bird shirt, a copy of Aloha Magnum signed by Larry Manetti (and the envelope he wrote himself... The handwriting matches!) a few screenplays from unaired episodes and I'm FB friends with Roger. This site is the jewel of all things Magnum, so you came to the right place. No question is too offbeat for at least one of us to answer!
