Magnum on Netflix

#1 Post by MagnumsLeftShoulder »

Hi everyone! The first 3 seasons of MPI are now streaming on Netflix. I don't know how long its been available, but I just discovered it today. So I think it must be a recent addition.

About time. They had all eight seasons about 4 years ago. Hopefully they'll add the rest soon.

Anyone interested in learning about a streaming site that features all seasons? However - why it is the Luther Gillis episodes that don't seem to be working out beats me...

I get Seasons 1-3 and 6 on my end. No 4 and 5! How bizarre!

I don't know why they don't have the other seasons. Overall I am very unhappy with the selection of shows and movies for streaming on Netflix. We looked at Amazon and it didn't seem much better. Maybe they'll add more choices eventually!

Good news, all eight seasons of MPI are now available via Netflix! Some of the episode numbers are messed up in Season 5 and 6 ("Echoes of the Mind" for example shows as episode #23, yet it is in the correct position as the first episode of Season 5), but they are all there! Woo Hoo! :)

I agree. Most of the stuff is bottom of the barrel, but there are some good movies/shows available, however. I usually wind up picking something from the 'Classic Movies' section. I watched Blue Hawaii a couple of weeks ago. Man, what fun that was to watch! Elvis, what a legend. He could do it all!

Blue Hawaii is one of my favorites. It has more songs than any other Elvis film, and Angela Landsbury is a riot as his mother. "Now Chadwick..."

Elvis is awesome!

My favorite film is Girl Happy. Something about Shelley Fabares in that flick that makes me wish I was born about 30 years earlier.....

Great to know that they have all eight seasons now! I have seen a few cool surfing documentaries, and one of the girls has really got into Parks and Rec. I just wish they had some more movie offerings.

One of my all time faves!

Netflix has recently added several 'Classic Album' documentaries (which I believe originally aired on VH1): Fleetwood Mac Rumours, Rush 2112/Moving Pictures, Grateful Dead Anthem of the Sun/American Beauty, and a few others that I can't remember right now. The Mac, Rush and Dead documentaries are quite good, with interviews and rare archive footage.

After bemoaning the lack of quality content on Netflix's streaming service since its inception, it looks like it's now slowly starting to come around (at least to my preferences anyway). All seasons of Magnum, classic album docs, classic movies, independent flicks, sports documentaries, some decent horror movies.... It's not half bad now and I'm feeling better about signing up for the service. :)
