Any of you with the orginal HFO DVD's, can you check 1971's episode "A Matter of Mutual Concern". I just caught the tail end of the episode and there was a small boat pulling up to a dock that may be the mysterious one we saw off in the distance in the picture posted a while back. The shot of the boat docking looks like it might have been shot from the boat house balcony. Like I said, I just got the tail end and was wondering if the Estate was used in this episode and if that may be the mysterious dock.....Thanks

Hi Steve,

It wasn't Robins Nest.

Thanks Sam..........I didn't see that angle, the shot I saw as just shooting downwards so you just saw the dock and not the background. The dock mystery continues (as well as the purpose of the slab)

Yeah Steve...The shot you saw was taken at night and was taken from above..Manu Tupou (Charlie) was in this episode.

Thanks to you guys here, esp thanks to Rubber´s Chicken´s location guide, I finally succeeded finding Robin´s Nest....on my 3rd trip to Oahu, lol. All the first times before I stood in front of the wrong gate...now I found it. It is such a thrill having been at on sacred ground!
Now Magnum PI is airing again in Germany, on ZDF Neo...first time I can watch the series after I´ve actually been there.

Thanks to Bondtoys vacation pictures on another thread, you can see the boarded up window on the second floor, which I reported this past February and have seen for a couple of years now. For those interior buffs...any thoughts ?

Also nice to see the repaired chimney in the same photo, which just last year was crumbling.

By request:

Some caps from Hawaii Five-O's eighth season episode, Wooden Model of a Rat. I don't know what goes where, but here you go:

That's the cliff side seen through the window.

This is the room ahead and to the right of the previous shot, if Ed Asner and Kwan Hi Lim turned around and walked towards you from the previous room:

Now, the crumbly brick area I don't know where this is supposed to be:

Terrace area with those pillars in the background.

Thanks Garwood,

The terrace pic was taken from about this spot..The blue area is a valley and is shown in that episode.

Sam, there's a scene where Danno and Ed Asner are walking through the valley area and there's a bunch of wooden steps spread out and leading to the brick porch. I guess that's something else we can post.

a stream creates a sort of makali'i valley.. This stream courses thru many properties of Nu'uanu. It is also seen in the new Clooney flick, The Descendants. he stops and rests at a bridge on a street which traverses the stream... (much of the film shot in the Nu'uanu area....)
