Anyone know whatever happened to Jean Bruce Scott? Loved her on MPI and Airwolf. Last time I saw her was a cat food commercial back in the '80s

Hmmm... that pretty much says it all!Frodoleader wrote:Last time I saw her was a cat food commercial back in the '80s

She was good looking, but not much of an actress, IMHO. I don't remember her in Airwolf, though.
BTW, according to IMDB, she was in several things after Magnum, including a 90210 episode in 1999.

Also one or more episodes (IMDb is noncommittal) of Port Charles a few years later.
I just watched a Matlock episode ("The Lovelorn") that guest-starred Jean Bruce Scott as an Atlanta television reporter. Even though I had seen her listed at the beginning of the episode, and was watching for her, it took me a moment to recognize her, because she had long straight blond hair that made her look a bit like Shelley Long, and was playing a totally different type of character. Since this Matlock aired on 23 February 1988, near the end of Magnum's final season, I wonder whether this was a (pretty successful!) attempt to keep viewers from seeing "Sylvia Richland" as "Maggie Poole."
I personally like JBS as Maggie Poole, but I can see how you might think she was a one-note actress if that was the only role you'd ever seen her in, since she generally played Maggie as appropriately business-like. But if you had only seen her in "The Lovelorn," you might think she was a one-note over-anxious neophyte, since that's how she played the reporter.
The Matlock episode also guest-starred Marta DuBois (complete with her "Michelle" hair) as "Carol Weston," the sister-in-law of an advice columnist.

It all depends on what you mean with "over time".Seaver41 wrote:she was one hot redhead............but I believe she got um, uh, how do I say it.........fluffy ....over time.
Nowadays?
I don't have the pleasure to know her personally so I haven't seen her in quite a while.
During the series?
If so I never noticed.
Gotta keep my eyes peeled.
All that I can remember of her is she was one hot (and charming) redhead.
And not that bad as an actress.
"Zeus, Apollo, get out of my Ferrari!"
"Mr. Masters' Ferrari"
"Mr. Masters' Ferrari"
in the time since dropping out of media eye........but couldn't say for sure how she looks today. Back in the day though.......woo weeMagnum T. wrote:It all depends on what you mean with "over time".Seaver41 wrote:she was one hot redhead............but I believe she got um, uh, how do I say it.........fluffy ....over time.

The last thing I remember seeing her in was an E! True Hollywood Story on Magnum. She looked good, had gained a little weight but still looked pretty much the same. I remember she joked around a lot and seemed to have a pretty good sense of humor.
I always felt she had kind of a sad love story with Magnum. Which is the episode where she's helping him (with taxes maybe?) and he's not paying attention to her at all? I always imagined a backstory of unrequited love on her part...
