Vuarnet Skilynx Aciers - Almost exact replica, £15!

#1 Post by JD »

Hi Guys!

Yesterday I found myself an almost exact replica of TM's most worn sunglasses, the Vuarnet Skilynx Aciers.

They are from a UK store called Urban Outfitters, but they are available on their website, and probably do international delivery. They are only £15, and fantastic.

They are good looking.
I wonder if they have UV protection and all that stuff.
Cheap sunglasses can be dangerous to wear.

I have a pair of Vuarnet Skilynx Aciers that are the exact same as the ones TM wore. I bought them cheap on Ebay a little over a year ago. I have to say I don't care for them. They are heavy, and the arms are too short for me. I never wear them but keep them as part of my MPI collection. That being said, they are a nice looking pair of sunglasses.

I have a similar view. After searching for years and finally finding the them, I was disappointed to find the yellow view of the world when wearing them makes me eventually feel sick. Like being inside a glass of Berocca.

Actually, the Vuarnets appear to carry a warning on them that they should only be used for skiing and not for driving as they're designed for extreme glare or something.

The Ray Ban Shooters are much better for normal use. These lenses that JD has posted look like they'd be a better normal use sunglasses as well.

Make sure you get a blue sunglasses rope thingy as well. 8)
