I've been close, but haven't pulled the trigger. Good to know though.

I sent an email asking about international shipping, but didn't get a response for a few weeks. Maybe the Manetti group is overwhelmed.

It very well might be Larry himself sending these out.

In regard to your question on international shipping he covers it on the website:

Cost is $20.00 + $6.00 Shipping & Handling (US only)
or $15Shipping & Handling (International)

Sounds like you're good to go!

SB, I asked the same question some days ago, answer arrived after 3 days. It says: Check my website for new information about shipping and handling. Sounds to me, like HE answered it himself. :D

Well,

Lets think about this. He probably got the books, autographed them all and then sent them out as the requests came in.

Personalizing books for people you don't know is prettY hard, plus, I'm sure he has other stuff to do.

I'm just glad he actuAlly SIGNED IT!

Yeah, this info wasn't up there when I wrote him. When he wrote back, he directed me to the new info on the site. He probably had to figure it out then post it.

It was a nice little interview, with some fun anecdotes. Loved the story about some of the practical jokes Larry played on Hillerman - making his toupee fly off, nailing his shoes to the floor. Pretty funny stuff.

Larry mentions the total number of copies available for each printing of Aloha Magnum - 10,000 in the original printing, 500 in the re-print. This is the first time I'd heard these numbers.

Only 500?! I'll have to get on that and order a copy.
