I am now into the seventh season and watching "A.A.P.I." and then "Murder by night" I was wondering how cool could have been a sort of spin-off series, backdated of about 35 years, black & white, the right score and that "film noir" tone.
All the original cast but in completely different roles.
"Thomas Magnum, Private Investigator" I think could have been a good title.
I would have surely watched it!
Maybe because I like noir movies.
That tough p.i. was so different from TM but TS fits in that character very well.
What do you think about it?

The LOVE the flashback sequences that were done in the show, all of them! They were all extremely well done. It's yet another unique aspect of the show that makes it so special.
"Thomas Magnum, Private Investigator" (1930s) would have been a great movie or two-parter. Selleck makes for a great Raymond Chandler-esque P.I.!
