Magnum's Naval brass bell
Hey guys, does anyone know other than in season 's "Mad dogs and englishmen" can you see a pretty close shot of the naval bell in Magnum's bedroom? It looks like a 7"or 8" tall bell that I think reads S S HONOLULU 1887? Anyone else know?

I found out some info. there was a USS HONOLULU in 1937 so maybe the lighting and with this information I can now figure out what the bell says. Now figuring out the size. Does anyone here do good clear screen caps? If so cany anyone post a few of the bell. I know there's a good one at the end of season 6's "Mad dogs and Englishmen" when Higgins is in bed and Magnum comes in with the lads..it shows the size and type. I thought about emailing the photo along to some places that sell bells and see what they come up with?

The only screenshots I happen to have of the bell, besides those from Mad Dogs and Englishmen (6.14), are from Murder by Night (7.14). The bell appears at 45:25.

Thanks guys, I think that the bell is attached to a 4 X 4 so that might give me a little reference to the size of the bell. I just need the shot where he's waking up Higgins in Mad dogs and Englishmen...the stand isn't very well stained. Probably a quick prop they threw up.

Higgins wakes Thomas up with that brass bell in The Arrow That Is Not Aimed, too, but I don't remember how close the shot is. Only that poor Thomas is essentially annihilated by the sound because he's been drinking sake with Tozan! Very funny scene!!
Hope this helps...

Thanks for the tip about The Arrow That is Not Aimed Agatha. Watching the scene just now, I see Higgins first woke up Magnum with a small triangle, rather politely, and then on his way out he rang the bell, quite loudly.
Here's two screenshots...

Are screenshots difficult, rubber chicken? It would be fun to see a screenshot just a second past the second screen shot that was in your message. Does that make sense? Not a particularly good view of the bell but the smile on Higgins' face is priceless!!
