3. Italian Ice
4. Texas Lightning
5. Memories are Forever ( The best of the lot; just not my favorite, a bit too serious.)

Season two is one of my least favorite, although you have to put in perspective that we're comparing to other seasons of MPI, not to other shows.

Here are my top episodes for that season, rated on a scale of 1-4 Crosses of Lorraine in my Episode Guide.

3.5 Memories Are Forever (2)
2.5 Texas Lightning
2.5 The Last Page
2.0 Computer Date
2.0 Mad Buck Gibson
2.0 One More Summer
2.0 The Elmo Ziller Story
2.0 The Taking Of Dick McWilliams
2.0 The Woman On THe Beach
2.0 Tropical Madness
2.0 Try To Remember

But which are your top FIVE :D

I agree that season two isn't the best, it's a bit uneven and has a few poor offerings. But I'd still say it's better than seasons 5 and 6.

OK you guys!! I've got to feed the gang, take a shower and be outta here by 7:00...but I can't stand it! I've got to have a vote! :)

I agree that Season 2 was...if not "uneven"...at least less spectacular. Several "OK" episodes in my opinion.

1. Memories are Forever - awesome (and unexpected the first time) story

2. Dead Man's Channel - Hawaiian history

3. The Last Page - Viet Nam history

4. The Sixth Position - global intrigue

5. Try to Remember - LOVE the way Thomas's mind works...and Tanaka

And Billy Joe Bob would be next if we were doing the top 6! There's quite a few in this season that I didn't think were special...not terrible...almost NONE of them are terrible! But I just didn't "bond" with them.

I think Texas Lightning was my LEAST favorite. Or the Taking of Dick McWilliams...would have been OK with me if somebody had taken him a long time ago!

:)
Isn't the ocean beautiful at sunset? So soft....so peaceful...so romantic!

I'm always interested to compare with other people's favourites. I would have included 'Dead Man's Channel' if it had been a Top 6, but I'd already "cheated" by doubling up in fifth place!

I didn't like 'The Sixth Position', and didn't care much for 'Billy Joe Bob', but loved 'Texas Lightning'. I guess it really is a show that has something for everyune!

I agree none of the second season episodes are out-and-out terrible - there are far worse in later seasons, but it did seem a bit of a comedown after the first season, and would be eclipsed by the excellent third season.

I believe season 2 was very strong. I liked most of the episodes. Many of you have already described why the epis are great.

I did not like Taking of Dick. It was silly. Mad Buck was also a little silly but at least it dealt with a serious topic and was relevant to anyone in their 40s or higher since it deals with life's transitions.

I like Texas Lightning not so much for the story itself but that it dealt with the US/USSR spy game. The part in the end is priceless. Both are lying to each other, both want to believe in each other, and work gets in the way of life once again. That, as they say, is the hell of it...

I do not know which are my favorites but Memories would be up there. I love how we have to piece the story together along with Magnum. We also get introduced to Tanaka. I love how he takes the Detroit cap near the end. He keeps it throughout the series also!
Who's Dot Matrix, and what has she got to do with this?

Sorry... I have the tie in my rankings after 1-3. The 8-way tie for 4th was in alphabetical order!

Agree with you that season six is worse. Could argue about five. With "Echoes..." and "Mac's Back", it has some strength. With "Let Me Hear The Music", it's doomed.
