Episode with Magnum driving a Corvette?

#1 Post by bigislanddave »

Hello everybody,

I seem to recall seeing an episode where Magnum drives a red '60's Corvette, but it gets blown up by the end of the episode. I've seen lots of re-runs but I only seem to remember seeing this episode one time a long time ago. Am I dreaming, or does such an episode exist, and if so, what is it called?

Thanks,
Dave

I think you're thinking of Blind Justice and it was a Jaguar not a Vette.

I clearly remember seeing the episode several times when Magnum buys the smoke belching Jaguar from the used car lot because Higgins took away the Ferrari, and it is last seen being towed away from the courthouse near the end of the episode.

What I'm remembering is that someone gave Magnum the Vette and I remember Thomas saying goodbye to it after the police found out that it had a bomb inside. Thomas was telling it that it was going out of the world with new sparkplugs or something like that, just before it exploded in a ball of fire sitting in a clearing. Of course, maybe I was just smoking too much pakalolo back in the 80's.

Sorry Dave. I don't remember that one, but I am sure someone on this board knows the episode. Also, welcome to the boards!

Within the last month I've gone through all the episodes. No such episode. Sorry. :(

I second this.

Plus I think the Ferrari towing scene is from "Rembrandts Girl"

Dave,

I think you are remembering another show. I never remember the mag driving a vette.

Here is all I can remember him driving:
Beat up VW in the flashback to his days before working and living at the estate, The estate vehicles, the jag we have already mentioned, the Honda tin can that Floyd jumped from and left him in, the MG that belonged to his friend in the pilot, Carol Baldwin's VW convertable, Ice Pick's old pickup, the small rental car in one of the hideous Cassey Yates episodes, TC's vanagon... That's all I can remember. Someone else take over...
Who's Dot Matrix, and what has she got to do with this?

The only Corvette I remember in the entire series is from Lagacy From A Friend[/be and TM didn't drive it........I may have missed something as well, but I don't recall that scene.....

In "Blind Justice" there was a Corvette, and I believe it was red, but it was driven by a woman who humiliates TM at a stop sign while he's in his Jaguar.

That, and the one in "Legacy From A Friend" I believe are the only two episodes that a Corvette appears.

TM did buy a smoke belching used car he couldn't fit in one episode . . . either Hiuggy needed the Ferrari or TM was on a kick that he could be on his own.

I don't remember the car, but I should be able to track it down. I think it's season 4 or 5.

Yeah, Higgins took the Ferrari, so TM bought a used Jaguar. "Blind Justice".

That's what I thought he was talking about. I'd love to have that Jaguar TM was driving! I'm just a few inches shorter than him so I would probably look just as akward!

Plus the Omni/Horizon from L.A.

Magnum driving that Omni is the best part of the L.A. episode.
