I went back and found some threads from MacKay when he participated in an old MPI forum.He posted as Bonik1,Mac and Jeff Mackay among others.

That's one forum I never knew about. Interesting to read his post about the shot of the Ferrari being blown up (with him) wa actually the shell of a Camaro.......

I also found it interesting his boat shoes were Timberland and not Sperry as we had all assumed.

Me and ConchIndependent (the Mrs.) watched Macs Back this weekend in honor of Mr. Mackay. Darn shame . . .

That was a really great read!

I loved the fact that he answered questions, no matter what the type!

Very cool. A few thoughts...

I want to see Berlin Break with John Hillerman and Jeff MacKay!

Jeff MacKay did Macintosh consulting!

Wish we could have seen his few pictures "that no one else has."

He seemed like a really nice guy...

Wow, I just saw the Pilot episode of Greatest American Hero, and "Mac" was one of the officers that picked up Katt after he "crashed" from his "first flight" and then they put him in a police car to take him to the mental hospital, LOL

Right before his career with MPI no doubt. This entire scene leading up to it was epic, and also hilarious. Anyone else remember this?

Just saw an episode of "Baa Baa Black Sheep" that featured Jeff McKay. His character, USMC aviator Don Boyle was going for his fifth kill, and thus become an ace. It was called "Five the Hard Way". It featured a guest star playing his father. Did not catch his name, but the first words out of my mouth and the missus', was that the guy playing dad was way too young to be believable. Good eposide though!

That would be Kenneth Mars born in 1936. MacKay was born in 1948. So if we look it in a real life situation "French's" father would have been 12 when his son was born.
However, in the TV world, as we've seen many times on MPI, characters' ages versus the actors who play them are often times vastly different.

The guy playing the father was Kenneth Mars.He was in two episodes of MPI.

Dang Sam, Ya' beat me to it. I saw his photo, and recognized him as Archie, but forgot about the caretaker in "Woman On The Beach".

Reminds me of Crispin Glover playing Michael J. Fox's dad in Back to the Future. I think Fox is actually a few years older Glover. Still, it totally works in a delightfully weird way.
