The American Dream

#1 Post by Waterbug Blue »

Hey guys :) ...
I keep looking for a quote on the American Dream but seem to be unable to find it - so I guess the audience joker is my best resort on this one.
:?: As far as I remember, it was Magnum VoiceOvering and going on about what the American Dream means to different people, going examples. The bottom line as far as I can recall was that it was as individual as happiness tends to be. ... now this is not the Fourth of July quote from Home From The Sea... Can anyone help me out on this one? :?:
Thanx!

How about the one from "L.A."?:

Magnum: One of the first things my grandfather taught me was about the American Dream. To some folks he said it was staying at home and watching the grandchildren grow up, to others it's travelling to exotic, faraway lands, to others it's owning fancy cars and big houses, but one thing was for certain; whatever their version of the American Dream, a lot of people were willing to go to great lengths to get it.
Higgins: It's not a scratch! It's a bloody gouge!
