Which nikon camera model Magnum using, and what do you know about Masters safe behind picture?

I seem to remember James posing this question some time back, but I don't think anyone was able to give a concrete answer. No vintage camera experts in the crowd it seems.

I'm a photography buff and I've used Nikon cameras most of my life. The one that I've seen Magnum using the most was as the Nikon F3. I have noticed that in one episode ( cant remember which one) he was using a chrome body Nikon but I couldnt tell the model.
