A Crazy Magnum Movie Proposal from New Member

After reading the many comments to this post, I thought of a compromise plot that would please us "refugees from the 1980s" as well as those who want to see what the gang is up to these days and the studio money-men. Here goes:

Magnum is running naval intelligence in Hawaii alongside Maggie Poole. Higgins still runs the estate for Robin and RJ Masters, who has also become an international celebrity author of crime fiction. Magnum has become increasingly concerned about incidents involving off-duty personnel and a local crime syndicate that has grown increasingly powerful. As he investigates, he becomes entangled with a young guy (played by some young hunk...you can fill in the blank here) who has vowed to take down the syndicate because they murdered his girlfriend who knew too much. Magnum and the young dude (who stays in the guest house, of course) investigate, and Magnum discovers that the syndicate has ties to several of his older cases (here we have flashback scenes). Who knows, maybe the king pin is none other than Artie Kehanu? Of course, the young dude falls smitten with Lily, who is played by some hottie (you can fill in the blank here). This mix of our beloved Magnum gang and a few new young-uns should help box-office ratings.
