Came across this in Australian TV Week from 1983:

That was a fun read. I remember Malibu Grand Prix...those cars were fun. I think I still have my "license" from one of the franchises from back in the 1980s. They were a bit better than go carts as far as size and speed, but hardly serious race cars like Larry's article would have you believe. If I remember correctly, you were not allowed to pass or really race, but I bet the employees had a good time with the cars after closing.
