That's the thing, I haven't either.
THAT would be a riot! Thomas rocking out to early Lemmy!!J.J. Walters wrote:If I had to guess, I'd say Space Rock; maybe a little Hawkwind, Pink Floyd... The Flaming Lips, perhaps?
I wonder how much the Detroit foundation played in his youth? Was he into Motown because because of his history? Was his family into big bands and he was captivated by the rebellious Elvis? Did he stay with the Elvis branch of rock like my dad (they are the same age) and did he dislike the Beatles? Was he a Beach Boys guy in the warm California sun?J.J. Walters wrote:No, but seriously. Based on the songs played in Magnum (which he may not of had a hand in picking -- with the exception of the later seasons), and based on the fact that he went to HS and college in the 60's, I'm sure he's into the usual suspects -- Oldies, Motown, early Pop/Rock, and what later became "Classic Rock". But that's just my WAG. He's a complex person and not so easily labelled. I wouldn't be surprised if he has hundreds of Grateful Dead soundboard shows in his collection.
The thing that doesn't fit to me is country . . . yet Looking for Space fit so perfectly. Not that his family couldn't be country people, maybe Hank Williams and the Louvin Brothers were playing during his formative years instead of Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller.
