Well I know its an old thread. But I found it on google while I was searching for some Magnum Trivia and so I wanted to help you guys. Im from Düsseldorf, and of course I know a bit about our beer :P
Its right, (in germany) there is no brand "Old Dusseldorf".
"Alt Bier" means "old beer". It is brewed on an old way of beer brewing. This kind of beer is brewed in and around of Düsseldorf. There are several brands from Düsseldorf which brew it. Like
  • Schlösser
  • Füchschen
  • Dröppke
  • Uerige
In germany, every region got its own kind of beer and is proud of it. Every one tells its own beer is the best. But, actually, "Alt Bier" IS the best one ;)

I thoughed about sending you a few bottles, but unfortunatly, the shipping costs are about 45$. Im sorry!

If you have any questions, please let me know.

To add a bit of info to Duesseldorf:

The Duesseldorf region is pretty famous for beer called "Altbier"

Like Duesseldorf mentioned, "Alt" translates to Old and "Bier" translates to beer.

But Altbier can't simply be translated to old-beer because the "Alt" tradition of brewing beer is a singular word and can't be translated.

I guess that the writer of the storyboard heard about the famous Altbier in Duesseldorf and mistakenly translated it to "Old-Duesseldorf" - which admittedly sounds pretty nice - even it does not make any sense.
