Its a pretty hot scene, and I don't disagree with all your suggestions!
Now, granted, is it a little out of character for Magnum to be doing this? Yes. But it was the pilot, and there was some 'ironing" out to do.

What do you mean by "he really deosn`t need to be"??? there was always a very good reason - aahhmm like... aahhmm wait a minute - I can explain.... you know it was very hot and everybody needs to be shirtless when wet and nobody can expect him to sleep with pajamas in Hawaii - all in all - Thank God they did it there

Icepick - Does it ever occur to you that you are always having to bail your friend Magnum out of trouble?
I love the scene in Drram a Little Dream with Magnum and Cindy Pickett in front of the fireplace in the flashback, except I feel her frustration when he won't follow her to the bedroom!
