But somehow Ivan being inside the cage doesn't look right. Who's outside then? T.Q.? With his pistol and non-Soviet hat? :D
We turned the tables on you.

T.C. has his revolver and Rick has his Uzi. :P

What seems to appear the most right, based on the episode, is Ivan dead on the side of the highway.

Nope, that would be in the woods.

I’ve always wondered, given your previous support of vigilantism, why you chose as your avatar the character who got his a$$ handed to him by TM in an act of vigilantism. I’m not being facetious. Why did you pick a Communist agent to represent you?

Well, since you're here I assumed you survived the woods.

It would be appropriate at this time my most experienced friends to keep you in that cage.

Rick is a weapons expert. Makes up for his short height.

LOL! It is a legitimate question though. I was just curious. I picked Pahonu because of my interest in architecture in general and the estate particularly. Why did you choose yours?

Probably just a timing thing.

I must of just watched the episode before I joined and I wanted a single episode bit character.

Also considered a pseudonym within the show.

Should I have gone with Wallace McNerdy?

Pahonu wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 11:54 pm Seems like it was fairly mediocre writing in general.

While I don’t agree with Ivan that the the original H-5O was the best show ever, because he’s clearly wrong as it was actually The Rockford Files, which Selleck knew well enough to appear on, twice, while the opposite isn’t true, I do enjoy many episodes of the series, and have also really enjoyed following both of your disagreements. How’s that for a run-on sentence!
Actually Selleck begged Jack Lord to appear on Five-O (because he obviously knew it was the best show ever) but Jack turned him down. So then Selleck resigned to appearing on that other show with Jimmy whats-his-name. But Tommy always regretted not appearing on the most revered show of all time, even referring to McGarrett and Five-O on his own show. :) Tommy even wanted Magnum to drive a black Mercury Grand Brougham but Bellisario nixed that idea. Tommy even wanted Higgins to be named Danno Quayle Williams.
I was just thinking about how Selleck never ended up guest starring on H5-O. He did quite a few other shows during its run like Mannix, The Streets of San Francisco, Marcus Welby, and Charlie’s Angels, to name a few. I know that by the late 70’s the studio was trying to find him a starring vehicle, and his guest starring roles diminished. Selleck has credited his appearances on the Rockford Files with helping him gain a little negotiating power regarding Magnum’s character on the series. He was seen as a hot property by 1980 after his final appearance on Rockford.

Well, he's the most iconic villain in the most iconic (and my favorite) episode. Plus the avatar was available. So it was perfect!

Plus I get to keep some of you school boys in line. :P

So T.Q. is someone from an episode of MPI? I did wonder what it stood for.

There is something to TQ’s incredulity. Honestly Ivan, I think we had conversed for several years before you revealed you hadn’t actually seen the series. I too was stunned. Spoiler alert: Jones. That’s all I’m saying.
