Is Walter in any more Magnum shows? I wouldn't be surprised if he was...
YES. Solved (and official).

Thanks Mr. Mike.

One other question.

Did the Hawaii Five-0 theme song change just a smidgen for season 9?

I think it did. Very subtle. Right at the beginning. Thx

Let Death Do Us Part

Ivan MIA?

Okay episode and a bit confusing.

Some cool elements though.

Jim Spier's quest and McGarrett being okay with everything after everything solved.

The twist when the detective was taken out.

Bit of over acting at the end and I found the ESP stuff weird.

I am not a good person to ask about subtle variations in the H50 themes at the beginning and end of the show. I usually cover my ears and go "LA LA LA LA LA" when asked this.

However, you can hear all of the themes on this page on my site:

http://fiveohomepage.com/music/

The end credits for Nine Dragons (S09E01) were a bit different than other shows because of the length of the credits. You can see that here:

Not bad.

Danno going undercover as a tourist/beach bum was funny.

Based on a true story a la Law & Order.

Sadistic gang leader flipping a coin to decide whether Sandi and the other hostages, whom he's going to throw overboard, will be given a life raft (this is also taken from the real-life case; both times the life raft won the toss).

The execution of this in the episode a bit underwhelming. I didn't really FEEL anything about it.

Love the JAWS reference.

All in all pretty decent episode though.

Bad guys, hijacking, theft, murder, mayhem... BOOK 'EM.

MPI: Jack Hogan, Amanda McBroom, John Lisbon Wood,
I really do like this episode. It's pretty edgy stuff. Maybe the most disturbing episode of season 9. It kinda reminds me of season 6's "One Big Happy Family" in that both were based on real life cases and both feature these white trash killers who place zero value on human life. Absolute scumbags! I think this episode would feel right at home in season 6 - the edgiest season of them all! Paul Koslo is a great character actor and has made a career playing these low-life's. He was a staple of 70s crime/action and western films. John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson. You could spot him in their movies. He was at his best as the snot-nosed prick who gets put in his place by Bronson in the excellent MR. MAJESTYK (1974). Check out this classic scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTx_jDEnvxs

And yes, this was 1976, just a year after JAWS made a big splash! So sharks were everywhere!

Ivan is not MIA but I had to take care of some MIA's. With their school-boy tricks. :)

Okay episode? Well, how about crappy episode! For the longest time this was the single worst episode of season 9. But I think these days "See How She Runs" (near the end of the season) takes that dishonorable top prize. But we'll get to that one. As for this one it's still a dull affair. Convoluted, confusing, weird ESP stuff and ouija boards. Zohra Lampert as Anita Newhall grates on my nerves here. I never liked her as an actress. She seems to play this same flaky character all the time, including again later in season 11. Jack Kelly of TV's MAVERICK fame is largely wasted here. There's just nothing to recommend here. It's a snoozer!

The one HFO theme that really stands out from the rest for me is the season 10 one, which is probably my favorite one. I just love that rolling thunder at the beginning. None of the others have that sound. The season 1 one is a classic too actually. So 1 and 10 are probably my favorites. All the others sound pretty much the same to my ears.

Ivan mad that you like this episode too much! :x Be very careful. I spent Thanksgiving building new bamboo cages. Getting into the "anti-holiday" spirit. :|

The Conch Republic, and free Florida is Key West. :D I enjoyed the Keys, also the Everglades, and Miami and it’s environs. The rest of the state was pretty unexciting. I have no interest in the Orlando/Disney area, and it’s Gulf Coast is little different than that of Texas. The Gulf Coast bayous of LA are fantastic though, and I would like to get back and see St. Augustine FL.

Canada just detained and quarantined a family that arrived home.

Vaccinated, negative tests before departing Eqypt, negative tests on lay-over, being detained for 48 hours in Calgary hotel until further negative test for some reason. With threat of $750,000 fine.

Government has taken over entire hotels.

What is going on in Clown World?

I'm enjoying my relative freedom where I live. I can tolerate still putting on masks in stores.

And Florida was amazing. No more fear. Even went to a concert/show.

It's Crazy Town out there!!

Luckily we're ignoring all that "noise" and just living our lives as we understand it. Common sense is always your best friend in cases like these. The Powers That Be have no concern about public welfare. It's just rules, rules, rules, rules and none that make any sense.

Glad you enjoyed your stay in Freedomland. :)

Double Exposure

Not so good in my opinion.

Meg Foster does a good job and I enjoyed seeing Danno's private life and making the moves on the ladies.

The Hyatt makes an appearance the way I remember it as a child. Even down to the narrow hallways and the cheezy 70s/80s wallpaper.

I thought the bad guy Mr. Weston was comically over-the-top (although not intentionally?).

McGarrett with an Uzi. Cool but silly but an exiting helicopter chase.
