A former door gunner with the Marines, Rick (Knighton) now runs Oahu’s coolest nightclub. According to Magnum, Rick is well connected–if you want something on the island, Rick is the man to see. He is one of Magnum’s loyal group of friends who were all POWs in Iraq together. In the original series, the role was played by Larry Manetti.
Well, I like this pick better than T.C.'s! He starred in the title role of The Hitcher (2007) remake (in the role originally played by C. Thomas Howell in the 1986 movie -- which I though was a great movie!). At least this guy has actor credits!
IMDB says: "Was the recipient of an exclusive "Excellence in Theatre" award upon graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University, for a large repertoire of acclaimed, impressive performances given while acquiring his BFA therein."
I'm wonder if Omar Benson Miller will play T.C. in Magnum P.I. Reebot. Actor recently following Peter Lenkov on Twitter. The age agrees with Jay and Zachary. And he is not an anonymous actor compared to David Dunston. He was in the main cast of CSI: Miami (63 episodes) and Ballers (31 episodes).

I would vote for Mr. Benson. I love the HBO show Ballers and he is excellent in it. I guess we should find out for sure next week as they should be starting by Monday.......

No. They have not announced yet. Someone listed the actor on IMDB that he will be T.C. But it probably fake, because at IMDB, fans can post descriptions of the episodes, the actors too. This actor is not really an actor, when his roles are usually gangster, bodyguard, etc. He may be double of T.C. Much more likely is that Omar Benson Miller will play T.C. We have to wait for casting news from Deadline, or photo from the set.
Ahhh! I thought someone posted that Lenkov announced it on Twitter! I obviously wasn't paying close enough attention! Sorry! Glad I didn't post it on the main page (which I was just about to do)! I'll hold off for a little bit until it is officially announced.

I'm starting to think Core 4 is correct. There is nothing posted I can find about David Dunston as TC especially in the latest announcement about Zach Knighton playing Rick. The reliable info sites show Hernandez and Weeks but no mention of an actor for T.C. yet . Sad that IMDB doesn't check the reliability of information posted.........If they had kept the comments section there could have been folks posting about the reliability of said information....
On another note: Does anyone have a thought on a voice for Robin Masters. Tom Selleck perhaps?

maurice lamarche is pretty famous for his Welles impersonations. His voicing of The Brain from Pinky and the Brain is a good example. He also did it on The Critic.
Magnum P.I. cast enjoying dinner last night at Noi Thai in Waikiki. We see Jay, Perdita, and Zachary. Black guy definitely is not David Dunston and Omar Benson Miller. So who else will play T.C. It seems to me that I know this actor from somewhere. On the photo, also is Sung Kang (actor from Fast & Furious series), who interesting that appear in season 6 finale of Hawaii Five-0. So looks like he will appear in Magnum P.I. pilot, but I think he will play another character. I think he play the villain or Lt. Tanaka.

I don't know who he is either, but good luck to him. Is the Asian woman behind the bald gentleman's right shoulder Michelle Krusiec? She has also been appearing in H 5-0.......Looks like this Rick will be taller Thomas. Oh well, they all look happy and I say do a good job writers!

This is Kimee Balmilero, who play Dr. Noelani Cunha in Hawaii Five-0. She is Medical Examiner, City of Honolulu. But I'm not sure if she will appear in Magnum P.I. pilot. Because she had regular role in the show since season 8 (in season 7 she had reccurung role). Of course, she appear only 2-3 scenes for the episode, and not in every episode she is, so she could play in Magnum without a problem. But if in the pilot she will appear it would definitely mean that both series are in the same universe. Maybe she ate in the same place as the Magnum P.I. cast?

That is one of the questions I have been pondering as well. How far into the original will they go. Will there be a Michelle, eventually a Lily, a Tanaka, Luther H. Gillis, will there even be a Robin Masters and will he ever be seen and where will be The Estate be located.........I guess they have to make it past the pilot.......
