I wonder if Paradise Helicopters received a call to do the reboot....they have to be the frontrunner, it's a perfect fit!
Now that would be GREAT for their business! I bet they still can't wipe the smiles off their faces after hearing there was going to be a reboot!!! I hope it works out for them!
Well, it appears Paradise Helicopters didn't get the job which leaves Magnum Helicopters http://www.magnumhelicopters.com/ as the frontrunner (assuming they want the chopper to match with the original )....time will tell. Their company name might've cinched the deal.
I wonder if there will be a matching Vanagon to go with it!
I just got the answer from a friend on Oahu and Magnum Helicopters did get picked up for the show. They have been working with Lenkov on the HFO reboot for their 8 seasons so it makes sense to stick with them. This appears to answer another question....Will the Island Hopper Chopper look like the original? It sure looks like it's going in that direction! Now, if we could only confirm that Pahonu is going to be Robin's Nest....I'll get Luther and TM on the case!

Early indications (or maybe just "wishful thinking") seem to point to the estate figuring in...but there's probably a lot of red tape (& green paper) involved, so it's another case of "wait and see".
A little more sleuthing from Luther has discovered that Makani Kai Helicopters is connected to Magnum Helicopters. I'm guessing Makani Kai is the parent co. and Magnum is the second co./ sub....more sleuthing needed to confirm.
I'm thinking Lenkov could hook this gadget up to the Island Hopper chopper and get "TC" to do a few passes over Pahonu! The estate would be in tip top shape in no time. What do you think?
