Can't quite get the speed figured out....

Nice work!

What program are you using? I use GIMP - 'cause I'm cheap. To change the speed you just need to adjust the frame rate. You can change the speed (in milliseconds) one at a time or you can change them all at once when you save the gif. You can use the "crop tool" to remove the black bars on the sides, too. I'm sure photoshop has a similar tool.
