Anyone up for MPI trivia?

For all non-episode specific topics about the show, including MPI-related "tie-ins"

Regarding Frank Sinatra's appearance on the show:
In the final scene, we see on Laura's gravestone that she was born June 14, 1979 (making her 7 years old when she was killed), and the date of her death, the same day as Doheny retired, was December 29 1986, making this episode set just under two months before it was originally broadcast.
golf (who cheated by Googling the date and the MPI name) (I may not know the answer, but I know how to FIND the answer -- does that count for anything? . . . . no, I didn't really think so . . . ) (But I sure enjoy the "hunt" and sharing all these details with everyone here!)

What is the name of Higgins' Polo Pony?
The answer is obvious, old man. Logic is irrelevant. It's simply Tropical Madness. (J.Q. Higgins)

Why would anyone, even a Brit, name a polo pony (or any other horse for that matter) Cornwallis??? He was on the "losing team."

Perhaps because he was an Eton College alum, like Higgins?

I really need to stop answering these questions, because THEN I need to think of a good question.

OK,

In "Past Tense" Icepick makes his first appearance.

However, what is the first episode in which Rick CALLS Icepick?

(It's just a one sided conversation from what we can hear, and we never see or hear him)

Previous to this point, Rick always used other contacts such as Sarducci and some other guy.

Hint, the episiode in question is close in proximity to "Past Tense"

Magnum's Detroit Tigers cap and "little voice" narration were seen and heard for the first time in the same episode. What was the name of that episode?

Hint: It was in Season One.
