I'm beginning to think maybe I "jumped the shark" with my question because the circumstance in common has nothing to do with MPI. So maybe I'll just explain.
When I first saw DALD, I was very surprised to see Cindy Pickett because she was on another TV show at the same time (and normally leads in other TV shows don't do guest shots on another TV show). I had to check www.imdb.com to get the name of the show, but I remembered the premise of it -- she was an Army wife (or it could have been Marine -- whatever, military scenario) and the show was about the Vietnam conflict. That's where I "knew" her from. The show was "Call to Glory," and according to IMDB, it lasted only one season because it was a little too honest about what went on in Vietnam.
The actor who played her husband in CTG was Craig T. Nelson -- who was also Shelley Fabares' husband in "Coach."
But maybe this was TOO trivial to qualify here. I just always think of Pickett's other role whenever I see this episode.
Never mind, I'll go crawl back under my rock . . . .

O.K. Here it goes. This one might be a little too easy, but I like it.
In season 1's "Adelaide" Uncle Charles shows an immediate disliking of Magnum. The reason he gives for this is a rouse. What is the reason he gives, and what is the real reason he doesn't want Magnum on the case?

"But Higgins, I can explain."
Hmmm, N...
This could go one of two ways for #1.
a) The reason he gave Magnum: That he hated to see a good Naval officer/soldier throw his career away to become a two-bit private investigator when he would give anything to be back in the service (if it wasn't for his unfortunate "Dr. No" hand).
b) The reason he gave Adelaide: That he was a womanizer and a "ruay" (spelling?)
For the record, I'll go with "a"
for #2.
It's because he knows Magnum is THAT DAMN GOOD and would figure out the Norman sterility angle (Although I don't believe this was ever explicitly stated)

I knew that one was too easy. Extra credit for the two correct answers to #1. Your turn. Make it an extra tough oneDoc Ibold wrote:Hmmm, N...

I like the idea of keeping the questions episode related, Pretty cool.

SL, Merci Beaucoup!SelleckLover wrote:It's "roué" n. A lecherous, dissapated man. (French)
(Once again, spelling! But, I figured that either you, Golf, or JCF would correct me, so I wasn't that worried about it!)

N,
Going to have to take a rain check on the "next in trivia" line, as I want to have a good one! (My Higgins two-fer was too easy. Let me rack my brain and I'll come up with something).
For any other questions, step up while I "think, think, think"!
