Braddah Kimo sent me this great print of the tidal pool. I finally got it matted and framed. Kind of difficult to get a picture of it with the reflections in the glass, but it really did turn out nice. Aloha and Maholo Braddah Kimo.
I was a little disappointed with the framer. There's about 1 inch of print hiding under the mat on the left, and about 2 inches on the right. The guy said if I wanted to have him custom cut a mat and frame it would cost an additional $85.00. I was like WHAT?
Wow, $85.00 for a custom cut matte?!?! My wife would have done it for free. Of course, that is because she's a woman of great character, which one of the reasons I married her.
$85 for about 10 minutes work... I need to change career fields!!!!
Great print. Cool thing Bruddah!! Congrats N1095A!
Yeah, I thought the guy was a little ridiculous in his prices, but there's only one shop in the area that does it. he charged enough for doing it the way he did.
It's all good though. The print looks great hanging. It takes me back to simpler times, like I told Kimo, a magical place from my youth.
