How many of you guys out there collect props from Magnum PI? I've been trying to collect things over the years I can actually use..of course in moduration. I mena a full fledged Magnum PI wardrobe might turn some heads, but when worn in the right way..passable. I also collect everyday stuff like his popcorn maker..I also have fun and trying to track down the name brands of certain items used in the show. My grandpa when I was a kid had the EXACT tv Magnum had, I believe it was a RCA XL 100 19" tv set, can't remember the year though..need to do more research. I also managed to track down all the baseball cards shown in "Limited Engagement"..lot of card comparing. Anyway I thought it was fun and was wondering if any of you guys do as well. Maybe there could be a information post or exchange. It can be quite tiresome sometimes tracking down dead ends..ain't that right Mike We've both been looking for Magnum's green hooded rain jacket and came up empty!!!
That reminds me that I had a dead ringer shirt for the navy blue one Magnum wears with the white collar. It's like a rugby shirt with short sleeves. Even if I could dig it up, I doubt it'd fit.
I like your idea of a sticky with the 'stuff' you own and/or success at tracking down items
Of course this changes nothing between us. I still expect you to respect the rules and regulations pertaining to your stay on the estate. There will be no wild parties, no outragous liberties, no unauthorized overnight guests...
I'm starting to amass quite the Magnum collection myself. Must start a thread with some pics soon. However so far my collection doesn't have any props from the show - though I'm continually on the lookout on eBay for them!
So far, I've got mainly the sort of items JJ has on the Tie-In page. Cool stuff no doubt, but not screen used.
