Wow, you're going to turn your basement into the guesthouse (aka Magnum's pad)?.... AWESOME!!
Phew, I don't think anything besides the Gauguin painting has ever been officially ID'd (at least not here anyway). The whale painting looks familiar, but I've never seen it ID'd either. Most of the smaller props stuff are going to be hard to find, although I recall seeing some of it on eBay over the years.
What a neat project!

The whale painting,or at least the artist was identified in Rick's blog.
The artist is George Sumner.
Both Selleck and Hillerman are listed as clients in the Sumner web page.

Too bad you didn't want to do this circa 1990. The post-80's interior upgrades around Houston had this kind of stuff out in garage sale in droves. I remember seeing all kinds of Magnum-like furniture at the time. Of course, I wasn't astute enough to buy any at the time.

I found the Whale painting, "Maui Whales" by George Sumner. I'm not having any luck finding any good reproductions.

How is it your basement is shaped EXACTLY like the guesthouse. You just need to have a bedroom attached and be in HI.
