In the awesome A-Team episode of British show Bring Back..., the host Justin Lee Collins interviews Stephen J. Cannell and they talk about that exact scene. Cannell says they were totoally aware of the fact that it was a joke how nobody got killed on the show. He said they bought the helicopter crash footage from a cut scene in a James Bond movie and just went with it for a laugh. Even though it's fake, I love how the A-Team always did this.

Oh yeah, and if anyone has a chance to see some of the episodes of Bring Back... go for it. It is totally awesome (especially the Star Wars and A-Team episodes). The entire episodes used to be on Youtube, but I can only find clips now.

I told him that was ridiculous."

A-Team was too cornball for me. I'll stick to MPI and Jesse Stone!
I just don't give a damn!

He's never actually said that.

He must have said somewhere else other than A-Team. How else would I have gotten that impression?

It came from Rocky III.

He said something to the effect of "Rocky, he's a fool"

Commentator then says something to the effect of "So what do you think of him?"

Clubber Lang (Mr. T) says "I pity him"

He never actually says "I pity the fool", just like Sherlock Holmes has never said "Elementary, my dear Watson"

Sherlock Holmes probably said that in one of the old movies in the '30's. But he never said that in the Arthur Conan Doyle novels! For that matter, Capt. Kirk never said "Beam me up, Scotty!" in the original STAR TREK!
I just don't give a damn!
