I must say that I prefer our TS in his western roles, as well as Magnum. But the differing opinions just shows how diverse TS's fans are. Of course, then there are the people that can't stand TS (I know a few) and that's OK too. We all can't like the same things and it would be a pretty boring world if we did! :D

Yes, as hard as that is to believe...I do. I get comments like, "he's too "pretty", and they don't like his high pitched "whiny" voice from back in his Magnum days. Yes, I do IGNORE them! :D

Finally watched "Last Stand at Saber River" this past weekend. It wasn't bad, but probably is the weakest of the three movies in this set. Costars were the late David Carradine and his brother Keith. Also included another Bellasario alum, Tracy Needham (JAG). Not a bad western, certainly not the best either.

People that don't like Selleck? I have never met such folk, althought I have encountered people that didn't have an opinion either way about him, plus they had never seen MPI.
I just don't give a damn!

Walmart has a great package deal on 3 TS westerns. Crossfire Trail, Last Stand At Saber River, and Monty Walsh packaged together for $12.98.
I was pleasantly suprised to find Crossfire Trail features some of my all-time favorites: TS, Mark Harmon, Barry Corbin, Virginia Madsen, and Mr. Diabetus himself Wilford Brimley.

To me, it doesn't get any better than TS in a cowboy movie. Monte Walsh is one of my all time faves, only second to QDU. :D

Monte Walsh has one thing QDU doesn't. Barry Corbin.

I know but you were comparing MW to QDU :D
I wish Barry Corbin had bigger parts in both. He's just so good.

Personally, I think "Shadow Riders" is Selleck's best western. It has the feel of the old Eastwood 'spaghetti' westerns.
I just don't give a damn!
