Now I'm confused... :? LOL. Seriously I think you got 3 good choices, the first 3.Number 4 isn't as screen accurate as the first 3. Like I said there were slight varaiations over the course of the series. So any of the first 3 should be alright.Like I said I went with Robbie's and couldn't be happier. Good luck on deciding.

Frodo, There's absolutely nothing wrong with wearing a military cap, or any other clothing article. It can be awkward. I used to work for the
research department of a university that designed US Navy "secret things". As such I would from time to time go to Navy ships to work. I ALWAYS bought a ship's cap on board as covers were required in most spaces. I wear them to this day. I get asked "Hey were you on the (insert ship's name here) and I say yes, and tell them when. I never nemtion the fact that I wasn't in the Navy. I'm also a very strong supporter of the military, and wear various caps to show it. Nothing wrong with that, and that state trooper was wrong in what he did.

By the way, Here's my DaNang cap:

I bought this one on Ebay. I'll try to find the seller, but it was a couple of years ago, so I might not be able to.

For the Al's Muffler hat PM member "only looking"
You just missed out on the camo SEAL cap. Stephen (only looking) just sold his last one. A hat with the correct camo pattern and a plain green mesh is nearly impossible to find. I like your "start" The caps and ring look great. Unfortunately my Detroit Tigers cap is the modern one. I'd love to get one of the correct ones. Back in the 80s I had many of them, but they got worn out and dirty over the years, and got thrown out.

One piece of advise to all who are shopping Ebay for the Da Nang cap.
AVOID PROHATS AND CAPS!!!
No matter what the auction info says, they will send you a black cap with a shiny gold embroidered logo. The embroidery is nice but the metallic thread just looks awful, and the black cap isn't true to MPI.

They sent me a black one two but when I mailed and told them I ordered navy they sent the correct one out right away and didn't ask for the black one back.

I told them I got a black one and they replied with a very nasty email, and left negative feedback. I'll never buy from them again.

This should get you going in the right direction. I love mine. Robbie is a big fan of the show and has meet most if not all of the stars on that show. He also sells the gray t-shirt with the us naval academy on the back (It's the right design as seen on the show).

Interesting site. Not much detail offered though.
