Magnum Mania!

Magnum P.I. debuts with pilot episode September 24. The date of premiere is not as important as the fact that exceptionally on this day CBS will air the premiere episodes of the new seasons The Big Bang Theory (8:00-8:30 PM) and Young Sheldon (8:30-9:00 PM) before Magnum P.I. All this so in order the boost for Magnum P.I. ((9:00-10:00 PM) and the best possible ratings in 18-49 demo and in viewers (millions). The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon are the most watched CBS series, so there is a great chance for this.

The following week, on October 1, two new comedy series The Neighborhood and Happy Together will have their premiere, which will be permanently emitted before Magnum P.I. in Mondays.

They are obviously taking no chances with the new Magnum. I notice they are moving "Bull" from Tuesdays to right after Magnum so Magnum is sandwiched in between the top shows of CBS. That puts Bull up against "The Good Doctor" on ABC. That will be an interesting battle. I will watch one and record the other.
