Close to 4k for a handgun??? No thanks, I'll stick with a 1911

Yeah, my Para USA Elite was less than $700, and I have no complaints.perfectlykevin wrote:Close to 4k for a handgun??? No thanks, I'll stick with a 1911
However, my wife said if we win the Powerball, I can get the STI...and a Pepsi GMT.

Re: STI MPI Limited Edition
I've been interested in getting a 1911-type handgun for a while now, but $4k is definitely out of my range. I have been eyeing this Hudson H9 for a while. It's supposed to have less recoil than the traditional 1911, but the reviews are mixed....

Re: STI MPI Limited Edition
after being in the Firearms world for a few decades, $4k is not a bad deal for a custom 1911 or STI in this case. but that is one of the reasons I don't do anymore custom gun builds. My last 1911 cost a small fortune and now it is relegated to a BBQ gun. They shoot great but are a pain in the rump when it comes to maintenance, so Glocks are daily carry guns and my Rogers built Colt 1911 is a going to the BBQ piece.
