That being said, I'm going to watch the pilot. It doesn't look good to me. It looks like a by-the-numbers (in every way I can think of) reboot. After the pilot, I'll likely forget about it and go back to the original I grew up with.

After seeing the reboot pilot, we will most definitely forget the original series and won't even remember what Tom Selleck looked like.

Sure, it's possible. I mean, I'll always watch the original, but there's a chance I'll like the reboot sufficiently that I don't forget about it.
